Taoist Inner Fitness to maintain, heal and fix your body

Qigong ― ancient Taoist set of energy cultivation practices ― is a system of knowledge that comprises more than 5,000 years of human evolution. It is officially known in China as the science of human potential and development.

Qi ― the vital energy, the life-force, the bio-electromagnetic power ― is an energy field of the human body, and lies at the core of any Qigong practice, which combines movement, postures, mind focus, meditation and breathwork.
In view of the above, Qigong may be defined as inner fitness practice, designed to enhance a state of being in ourselves by awakening, activating and sustaining processes, flows and transformations of energy in the body.
Qigong may also be called a strategy for self-empowerment and self-healing.
However, Qigong is not only a source of self-healing but may also serve as a source of healing others. A practitioner, though, needs first to raise their own energy, so that they can share their abundance with the people around.
For this reason, Qigong and energy meditation practice are the crucial tools of any Tao practitioner who intends to help oneself and, then, other people.
While an abundant Qi supply is essential for health, inversely, good health is also a condition for an abundant Qi supply. Thus, to ensure both physical health and spiritual growth, an abundant supply of Qi is needed.
This accumulation of Qi is indispensable for creating the right kind of pressure to sustain and enhance the free and optimal flow of energy throughout the whole body. Qi is needed to activate the blood and lymph flows, the flow of the cerebrospinal fluids, the nerves, the endocrine glands and hormones, the fasciae and the tendons, bones, muscles and all the cells of the body.
Qi is the source of life and empowerment of the whole body and all its functions. Though, it can only be properly used and serve the body and the spirit if it is activated, guided and directed by the mind. Inner Alchemy Qigong taught by Master Mantak Chia involves the simultaneous training of body and mind by way of activating mind power. The more the mind is awakened, the more the heart is opened and the more the eye is trained to look inward, the easier it becomes to lead and guide the movement of Qi through the body.
